New Life in New York

You've seen how many amazing places you can visit by following movie's location in European cities like Barcelona or London. After travelling to the latter you're propably hungry to see more. So follow me and have a bite of this juicy Big Apple.

New York is present not only in movies but also in songs. We all know Frank Sinatra's New York,New York, and younger generation may remember the song of Jay Z and Alicia Keys who tell us the story of the Empire State of Mind. That's right, many people think that's a state of mind rather than just a city in USA.

Moving to our next movie, today we will be glamorous, shining like a star, dazzling like Sarah Jessica Parker in Sex and the City.

Every girl has a dream, but in case of girls in Sex and the City , they dream big. If,of course , they have time to sleep, because some people say that this city never sleeps! But if they do, they do it surrounded in thousands of pretty things. Many of them we can find in main character's apartament.

1.Carrie Bradshow's apartment, Perry Street, Greenwich Village, NY

Seperate spot will be her.... wardrobe. Size of which may put many of us in the shade.

2.  Carrie Bradshow's waredrobe, Perry Street, Greenwich Village, NY

In the movie, we can observe dramatic wedding rehearsal during which Miranda said to Mr. Big something terrible. What? Wait untill you see the movie ! But still, the food is said to be good, so if you want to eat the same meal as Carrie did, ask for something similar as they had in Sex and the City! Definitely worth it!

3.Buddakan Restaurant, Ninth Avenue, NY

As I've said this city never sleeps, so let's party . I recommend you to head for the same spot where girls celebrated Samatha's 50^th birthday ! And don't forget to order some Cosmos!

The beauty and the....bookshop owner. Find love in Notting Hill

Is there anyone on this planet who haven't seen the movie Notting Hill? If you think you could be the one stop reading just now and watch it.

Now, as we are sure that everyone has seen it ... Let's take a walk starting from the famous blue door.

If you are in London you can't miss this place, which is William Thacker's flat in Notting Hill,to be precise... I mean his flat's door.

1.Westbourne Park Road, Notting Hill, London

If you are a romantic type, who's constantly looking for true,everlasting love why not give it a try on your holiday trip? You may have the same 'accident' as Anna and William had. I suggest walking several times near next place, which is the exact place where William bumped into Anna.

2.Westbourne Park and Portobello Road, Notting Hill, London

If you've found your soulmate, to be even more romantic, you can spend couple of nights in exactly the same hotel as Anna Scott in the movie. Of course if your founds allow you to do it.

3.Ritz Hotel, Piccadilly, London

But please don't ruin yourself if you can't aford Ritz. Next attraction is absolutely for free and you can still feel the same excitement, because that's where Anna and William spent their time together.  Be careful ,if you want to go inside the garden you will have to break the law, as Anna and William did.

4.Rosmead Gardens, Rosmead Road , London

My last reccomendation is the famous Notting Hill Bookshop, where William worked. Even if you don’t fancy reading it's worth to go and have a look, just to feel the magic in the air.

5.Portobello Road, Notting Hill, London

Don't postpone it until mañana, just go to Barcelona

 Every single year you face the same question: where to go on your holiday? Your bucket list is full, but you still dont know what to choose? If you've answerd 'yes' twice, this place is for you. Each and every week I'll post a spot famous for being a ....film location.
So get packed, because this time Vicky, Cristina and I are taking you to Barcelona.

    

Films of Woody Allen , famous director are a good source of knowledge about places. In Vicky Cristina Barcelona we can see :

Casa Mila (La Pedrera), Passeig de Gracia, Barcelona. Girls are wonder around, exploring this strange design by Gaudi. So if you want to feel like one of them, it's definitely worth paying to see the rooftop of Gaudi's work.

Parc Guell , Barcelona. After watching this movie you may recognise this brightly coloured Salamander Fauntain , near which Vicky bumps into Juan Antonio. You may even meet some of your own family or friends, because during high season this place is full of turists. 

Tibidabo, Barcelona . If you're more of a daredevil craving some breath-taking expieriences you may find this a perfect place to spend your time. In the movie we can see it from more of a romantic point of view, but still there is always a place for a small kiss between one funfair and another. 

So if you're tempted by this movie , don't postpone it until mañana, Barcelona is waiting for you with it's many spots famous not only for being a film location.
